Follow up question: in that situation, how often would you have to change out the filter for it to remain effective?

Depends on the air quality that it encounters. The HEPA filter develops a pressure drop that is sensed by computer. The S model has three filter slots: 1 is a HEPA/carbon filter, 1 buffers acids, 1 buffers alkalines. IDK how the others are tested for capacity.

Can I just say, huge props to whoever designed the site. It kills me a little on the inside whenever I have to click on an American flag whenever I'm on a languages options menu. It's a tiny little thing, but it's a very satisfying feeling to be able to click a Canadian flag.
