I'm watching Fred Zinnemann's film version of Robert Bolt's "A Man for All Seasons." It's better on stage, but it's pretty damned good on screen, and Paul Scofield's performance is sheer perfection, never to be bettered (though Frank Langella came close on Broadway in 2008).

OMG I now wish he had been in the film (apologies to Murray Abraham)

F. Murray was every bit as good, I think—I only wish that Scofield's entire stage performance had been taped.

Scofield and Callow! That must've been great. Original Broadway cast not too shabby either--Ian McKellen and Tim Curry.

Yeah, I'm sure they were pretty nifty as well.
