What makes this map especially terrible is the premise that Americans could identify individual European countries on a map.

I can't believe it's not written "Pasta" in Italy

This is not a problem of US citizens. I bet that the majority of Germans answer "Spaghetti & Pizza", when they are asked for typical Italian dishes. But, of course, the Italian cuisine is much, much richer with all the delicious cheese, vegetables, dishes with meat and so on.

As a European: I have been confused that Alaska is not part of Canada for several years. So, not acknowledging it as "America" is probably pretty close :D
