Truly a Terrible Map. Other than Japan, it's hard to locate where other countries are. Using the shape of the country to represent it, is cute but not very useful.

And this country owes that country that owes another etc that owes the first in a big debt circle. I believe that if we did the traditional maths-teacher trick and went round them 'cancelling above and below the line' we would boil it all down to one fiver that is owed somewhere.

Of course, we in the US can print money to pay off our debt, like Japan. A chart of foreign currency-denominated debt would be more interesting.
