US did not lose to Vietnamese farmers, they defeated the NVA invasion of the south and brought them to the negotiating table where they agreed to an armistice. US forces left Vietnam and 2 years later, North Vietnam re-invaded the south and defeated the South Vietnam army.

Interesting this is.. The American flags planted there in the 60s have either been bleached white or else they have deteriorated in the unfiltered UV rays of the sun, while later flags from China and India use fade resistant inks, so those countries are the ones with actual flags
