Those that push the “jobs” stats facilitate the “Be glad we give you these little and nothing jobs or we give someone else” statement too.

I made $7 an hour in 1990 as a coat check in college and it felt like a fortune. It is pittance now. No one could possibly live on that.

In 1994 i made $12.50, seemed like a fortune but inflation made it a fortune. Now that is squat, wages haven't kept up with standard of living. Car payments are $350.-560 a month, rent on apts are ~$1200(cheap ones) +utilities. You can't live on min wage.

Even $15 an hour is barely enough to live a worthwhile life. You're still living paycheck to paycheck, you have little disposable income. $15 is the bare minimum.

I agree.i believe people in congress should live one month living at that wage. Anywhere in the US,bc it isn't a livable wage. The bubble they live in doesn't allow for real life to creep in, they just don't get it. Minimum wage should be at LEAST $18.

If you hire a guy for $7/hr he's likely to do $15/hr worth of damage.
