I remember when my brother and I were both IT administrators and we used to host LAN parties, with our friends, playing Co-op Doom and Quake, at each others' place of work because we both ran high speed networks. Always used dummy terminals and had separate builds for the game.

This is wild because... I was young when Doom came out, but I wasn't LITTLE. And it was a quarter-century ago.

I was there. I remember.

Doom, Heretic, Hexen, they were all greats.

I used to play that and Quake with only a keyboard. It was so hard to finally start using a mouse for FPS games.
