The pardon power is broad, but there must be limits. The idea that a president can commit a crime and pardon himself undermines the entire constitution. Hamilton addressed this in Federalist 69, and no, he said that the clause, “except in cases of impeachment” prevents pardoning coconspirators. Trump was impeached, but those now pardoned did not testify. The new DOJ should probe deeper and attempt to nullify these pardons
