    What did we tell you? Here's the sponsor calling it a "sanctuary" bill. The only thing it's a sanctuary for is continued enforcement of virtually all federal gun control by the state of Texas.

    "Texas is a 2nd Amendment Sanctuary!” That’s the garbage we’re going to hear. But really it’s “Texas will only enforce federal gun control if the feds ask for help" And as long as the general public continues to prefer bullshit platitudes over liberty - that’s all they’ll get.

    The Senate passed a bill that originally would have banned state enforcement of any new federal gun control, but amended it to essentially support all new gun control measures coming from the Biden administration.

    Sad. But we've seen this in multiple states. They are more interested in their "federal partnerships" and the unconstitutional drug war than they are in protecting your rights.

    SB513 as passed by the Senate today is pretty much "Dear - Mess with Texas, PLEASE!" It's hard to imagine a weaker attempt to "protect" the than this.

    Today the Senate passed a bill to ban the state from helping enforce any new federal gun control UNLESS…get this police are working with the feds on a state/federal “joint task force” Which is probably about 99% of the time they’re doing federal gun control enforcement
