3/ The lack of policy implementation is an albatross around Govt’s neck and why people do not have confidence in what Govt says. Consistency is critical

2/ I look forward to seeing this constituency participating more in Parly and Council where they may more effectively represent themselves and their needs. As the Patron of the National Council of Disabled Persons of Zimbabwe (NCDPZ) I will continue to advocate on their behalf

1/ https://healthtimes.co.zw/2021/06/09/president-mnangagwa-jointly-launches-disability-and-labor-migration-policies/ … Whilst the launch of the Disability Policy is hailed, it’s implementation of the policy that will be key. For too long the disabled continue to be promised things and nothing materialises, they’re not compensated and time is lost.

3/ I’ve tried to highlight this from day 1 and hope that come next election, voters vote more wisely. The children are innocent though, they’ve the right to water, &on the back of this, I’ll try to intervene and talk to

2/come election time, the electorate continue to vote such people into office. So whose fault is it? There’s nothing political about this, it’s simply a case of electing officials with capacity. Water is life, how can Council not prioritise water? Why is the plant taking so long?

1/ http://harare.opencouncil.co.zw/2021/06/09/harare-cuts-off-norton-water-supplies-over-debt/ … That’s how useless Norton Town Council is. Then you still want to have the same Councillors there and blame management when it’s the Councillors who pass and allocate budgets? Stands are being sold in USD, there’s inflation and so much going on but

https://www.herald.co.zw/hurungwe-records-48-covid19-positive-cases-in-3-days/ … This is a very concerning headline. Whilst I notice we’ve received a consignment of vaccinations from Russia, what happens to those who had the Chinese or Indian first jabs and now require the 2nd of the same?

7/The 2nd Republic is about reform&democracy but that must be seen in the way things are done, not when the right hand is saying this,&the left is doing something else or the right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing. It doesn’t work like that, there must be consistency

6/ Part of the 2nd Republic’s mandate is to deal with problems that were created during the 1st Republic. More so, many of them were part of the 1st Republic so we must see them reforming

5/ As Govt, if you fail to implement what you promise, what else will you do and how can people believe you? People gain confidence in Govt when Govt lives up to their promises or either goes back to the people and accept where they’ve failed. Honest feedback is critical.

4/It can’t be a piecemeal exercise undertaken upon a whim. There must be a concerted, sustainable solution. Some are yet to receive covid allowances promised, although should they be dependent on allowances as a smokescreen for solutions? Govt must just stick to what it promises.

3/ Govt. really needs to step up, you cannot take 2 steps forward and 10 steps back. Remuneration remains a key challenge for the Govt to address and the monetary policies must be aimed, in particular, at addressing the welfare and improved remuneration of civil servants.

2/ Zimbabweans by nature are not generally a violent lot however, could these incidents be linked to members of the forces leaving their jobs to take up a life of crime due to poor remuneration too? Not that one can justify crime, crime is strongly condemned regardless

1/ Following this tweet, I received many comments alleging that many of these armed robbery crimes are committed by ex-army and police officers who have the tactical training and expertise to engage in such. If so, is there no syndicate behind this sudden spate of crime?https://twitter.com/TembaMliswa/status/1401821708839968768 …

4/You’re someone who, too, would like to benefit from Zim resources just as any other Zimbabwean is entitled. For someone who’s done so well, we were looking forward to a rugby development programme by you, here back home. We need people like you to be ambassadors for our country

3/It’s folly to deride your country for the expedience of international media, never abandon your roots. You’re a role model to many Zimbabweans & as such, you’ve got to do right. This was a bad move and it would be important for you to find a way of correcting it.

2/ They were relocated to mosquito and tsetse fly ridden, barren areas. Land reform was a measure to address the economic imbalance that existed in the country. You were privileged enough to attend Peterhouse as a result of the founding principles of this country and independence

@Beast_TM I like you, you’re my man, you’ve done well in the sporting arena, however, when you don’t stand up & tell the truth about land reform, your utterances become a problem. Why don’t you make mention of the land that was really and violently grabbed from your ancestors?https://twitter.com/mdlulintate/status/1402306377662537729 …
