You can also check whether or not Google is saving your location history (also accessible under Settings -> Privacy) and whether or not Google Location Sharing is turned on or off.

Android Open your Settings and scroll down to Location. There you’ll find the apps that have requested you location recently and the apps that have access to your location data.

If you scroll down, you’ll find System Services. There, you can see how your device uses your location. You can also check Significant Locations – places your phone has registered as important based on your movement – and turn it off if you like.

iOS Open the Settings app, scroll down to Privacy and then open Location Services. You can see how every app you have installed uses your location there (and change any setting you like).
