We're going to adopt Larry with the Pink Collar. He is at the shelter with his siblings until Friday. The veterinarian wants to treat them all for worms, dehydration and give them all a well puppy exam with shots.

Larry Update! He went to the veterinarian today w/ his sisters. They are being treated for malnourishment, dehydration and parasites in their little bellies. Lots of shots, stool samples and rest for them in the coming days. Here's a Larry snoot for following along with us❤

It turns out little Larry (center) has three sisters! A very bad person (VBP) dumped them in a rural, wooded area not far from our home. His sisters were dropped off yesterday by an acquaintance of the VBP. Which means Larry stayed out overnight, alone. In Northern Wisconsin.

I am off to bed! You all are AMAZING and GOOD. Here's Larry and my oldest, King Leondias of Sparta. I adopted King 10 years ago from the Oceanside HS when I was in the Marine Corps. He was cautious but there was no hissing or bad behavior- just lots of puppy excitement! 😍😍

I proceeded with my 40 minute commute to work. I'm a cat person and it's been a long time since I've been around a puppy. I didn't know what to do so I tucked him in my vest and took him in to get my laptop and other work items. Yay for telework agreements!!!

Do you know how hard it is to weigh puppies?! Larry (in pink) weighed in at 10 pounds and is the runt of the litter thus far. I really hope there aren't more wandering puppers in the woods.

Also, the folks at the Humane Society here aren't on Twitter so they have no idea what this excitement is. They are SO thankful for everyone that has donated and so am I. I'll snag a thank you from them tomorrow, if they're comfortable, when we pick Larry up!

We live in a rural part of the state. This is a road I take twice a day on my way to/from work. I know the branches and rocks and dead deer but something looked out of place.

Called the City Police 👮🏽‍♀️ They directed me to the Sheriff Called the Sheriff ⭐ They directed me to the Humane Society Called 2 Humane Society offices 🐈🐕 One of the Humane Society offices called me back. You know what they said?

How is your lunch going? After I found Larry, I bought a small bag of puppy food and spread a little across my floormat so he wouldn't inhale it. I didn't give him anymore after that because of the parasites in his tummy. LOOK AT THOSE EARS. 😍😍😍

Cali crossed the Rainbow Bridge today. She was such a good dog, as they all are. She loved my Dad, Stepmom, and her brother dog, Zeke. Most of all? She loved her flying squirrel, her ball, and smiling like heck. Good girl, Cal Pal. Good girl. ❤️🐕🌈

I'm not sure the Department of Veterans Affairs knows how humiliating it is to walk into a brand new Doctor's Office in the community and say, "The VA can't take care of me so this is why I'm here." Their looks of disbelief are exactly how I feel on the inside.

Larry's 1st night is in the books! He had a case of explosive poop and piddled a few times. We caved and camped out with him in the living room. He slept all night until 7 a.m.!! He goes to the veterinarian for a follow up tummy X-ray this morning. It's a good day! #Larrythepuppy

Someone asked the Forest County Humane Society for their Amazon Wish List. Angie, the Manager at FCHS, texted me this morning, "It was like Christmas morning I cried. So thankful!" She also said they don't have to hold a fundraiser for a washer/dryer because of all of you!!! 😍😍

Here's a first for Larry! He just spent 7 hours, out of crate & unsupervised at home while I was out for work. No accidents, no damage. Didn't even eat his treat until I got back. I'm so proud of him!! ❤

Life News: I bought myself a house yesterday. Larry is already asking about a Squirrel & Bunny Patrol Program. I honestly think he just wants a vest with a patch and his name on it. 🤷‍♀️ (If they were included in Census, Larry would volunteer his small animal counting skills.)

I adopted Queen Gorgo of Sparta after her kittens were gone; she was shaved, spayed, alone and sad. She lived on the streets her whole life before me. She's a gorgeous rag doll and the mother of the house. She finally snuggled with Larry and now MY eyes are misty. 😢😍

(L) is Queen the first day I met her. I slept in the bathroom with her for 3 days, she was so scared. (R) current day. This is my ask to adopt moms, older animals, different looking animals or special needs animals. They need us just as much as Larry needed me.

My fave part of a long day at work is coming home to this face. Right as he closes his eyes at bed time, he let's out one long sigh. I started doing it, too. We both release the day and get some rest. Tomorrow's a new day and we need our energy! 💕🐕

Larry and I went for a Sunday drive to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan today. On our way, he met a lab/beagle rescue named Sweet Pea at the Florence Dog Park! He always does well in the Jeep. After a day of excitement he is out. Puppy life is ruff. 💕🐕 #LarryThePuppy

Happy Saturday! Mr. Larry is contributing to yard work by finding sticks and turning them into mulch. Also, I talked to the vet and the shelter- we went with Soresto. Haven't found a tick on him yet!
