Clearly we need to start a trend of classic computer cruises like the folks that restore classic cars. We can all hang out in the parking lot of the local Denny's and show off all the cool old hardware we spent a bunch of time on.

There are vintage computer festivals: http://vcfed.org/ There are also various museums which collect, maintain and restore vintage computing equipment. I am employed by one. Albeit, it isn't lucrative. My W2 for 2019 was $1800. So I continue to apply for secondary jobs.pic.twitter.com/3rCERLEvps
Along the theme of my original tweet I doubt most folks that are restoring classic cars are really making a profit either, they're doing it because it's something they enjoy and they have an emotional connection to the car.
