also how many men are taught not to show affection/love toward other men, which can be isolating. i go to south korea and i see (straight) guys wrapping their arms around each other. i never see that here.

I'll admit I have male friends I hug, and I know other guys who show that kind of affection to each other, but I do agree there are cultural differences. SK is quite interesting in how it approaches gender roles and representation from what (little, tbh) I've observed.
