Isn’t doxing illegal and can lead you to a good amount of jail time?

On it's own? No. I think doing it and sending a bunch of people after the person is though.

Well you are releasing private information that no one who has any relationship to the person being doxx has. Also doxxing does lead to someone being swatted due to false allegations.

From my experiences with doxxing, most of the time it isn't necessarily private information at all, it's all publicly available identifying info. It can lead to people being swatted, but I would not say that it necessarily leads to that. The swatting would be the bigger issue.

Well there will always be that one person who takes it to a extreme. I understand that doxing includes people social media account being release, and sometimes they put where they live and work. But when people dox more private information I think that should he against the law

What do you consider to be more private information?

Address, social security number, phone number, car with linecense plate.

I don't necessarily agree with address, as people post that kind of shit so often it stops truly being private. Phone number? Eh, depends on the individual. Social Security Number, yeah. Car license plate? Maybe, though much like addresses, people post that shit on their own.
