Basically the one who making money on the stock market right now are the ones who put money into PUTS. They basically seen the market going down and said "yeah me likey". Usually people buy CALLS to invest into a stock going upwards. It's all about moving into a better position.

So normal people buy or invest in a stock because it gains value right? In this case, some people will buy on the inverse so that when the stock goes down they profit on the loss. Some major stock moves are ETF's, Futures and Options. In this case, it would be Futures.
