If you care about someone, you’d say something. I don’t think this is a respectable job and it limits future prospects. It’s not possessive to tell your kids to go to college for the same reason it isn’t to tell your SO you’re uncomfortable/don’t want to share that relationship.

ah, ok. i think it’s respectable so that’s where the differing feelings come in. after years of men dictating women (still happening today in many countries), i find women profiting from their sexuality empowering
