This is why I keep my politics out of content and twitter for the most part now unless I’m shitposting. Over half these people can’t run a 5-min search on their claims and just exist in a perpetual state of hyperbole from clickbait headlines. https://twitter.com/Mechadude12/status/1207483493476904960 …

Nothing he said is hyperbolic. I understand why some people don’t want to talk about politics, but I hate this idea that horrible shit can be defended by just saying, “it’s different views, you have to respect that”.

They do not put people in cages just cuz they look different from them and leave them to die alone. If you believe that you’re the most useful idiot for radical propaganda.

Are you gonna pretend anti immigrant sentiment isn’t tied to how people look? And are you gonna pretend what’s happening to people crossing the borders isn’t happening mainly because of racist bs that causes people in charge to allow people to be in literal concentration camps?

Are you gonna pretend that that statement holds any amount of water if you consider they aren’t forced to go there in any capacity? It’s almost like, idk, being detained for doing something illegal? Idk bro. You’re the expert

They absolutely are forced. People don’t cross the border for a fucking vacation. They often do it to escape poverty and drug wars that, surprise, because of America interventionism in the drug war has fucked major parts of Mexico.

You should definitely watch your wording. They aren’t forced. You think concentration camps are like suggestions? You’re doing the same fearmongering that only works on the ill-informed. Lmfao

Why should asylum seekers be put in concentration camps when seeking asylum isn’t illegal in the first place? Nothing of my wording isn’t fear mongering. Because of America’s history on what we’ve done to Mexico, they often have no option/nothing to lose by seeking asylum.

There’s legal avenues and entry points for seeking asylum. Also putting 100% of the blame for Mexico’s current affairs on America strips Mexico of any of its influence over its own country and personal responsibility. Pretty sure that’s not the case

I think it’s far more racist to just assume all of Mexico is war torn and incapable of housing its own people.
