Simplifying jokes to their themes is a complete misunderstanding of what MAKES something funny. It can be a topic you don’t even like, but a well constructed joke. Y’all just pretending you have high brow standards for no reason.

Yeah, I’m gonna disagree. Jackass is carried by PURE absurdism. You cannot realistically make an argument that their “setups” go anything beyond “This is what we’re gonna do!” That’s not how comedic setups work. There’s elongated themes and callbacks in Big Mouth. Not Jackass
