It doesn’t make you racist if you don’t like a portrayal of a character. If I like white Batman over Asian Batman, that wouldn’t be racist for the same reason people in those communities don’t like the African American portrayals. To attribute that to race hate is not genuine.
Maybe you dont understand the cosplay community def can get very racist. I've had friends deal with harsh shit cuz they cosplay and are black. It isnt racist if you dont like it but its def racist to make rude comments specifically because of the persons color as they cosplay
Not saying it can’t be rude. I’m just saying it comes from a place of “This doesn’t fit my understanding of the character” rather than, “White People are superior at cosplay” cuz that’s not an accurate representation of the issue. It’s just more palatable cuz rAcIsm bAD.
