Don’t ever compare stand up to vines. Comedy is diverse and honestly incredible how some people craft these stories. Breaking them down to base elements like “offense” is a matter of perspective. If you’re uncomfortable with yourself then of course you’d hate those that aren’t.
I just happen to prefer absurdist and satirical humor. I gotta deal with these fucking wheenies who won’t stop at just not watching it. They have to constantly petition to shut down my favorite shows and comedians.
We need humor and entertainment to comfort us from the dark reality we live in. That’s why we joke about serious topics. We turn horrible things like racism, homophobia, sexism, etc into something that we can all laugh at for a good hour and some change.
