Would you debate a 16 year old in front of an audience, regardless of how old you are? How would it look?

What does this have to do with technical saying 16 year olds shouldn't be activists...?

Well activists have to be engaged to have their ideas heard. Right? So how would it look, to an audience, a grown ass man in his 20,30,40,50, or so on attempting to take a 16 year old seriously on their ideas and blasting against it? It would look horrible even if he was right.

This isn't an anime dude. You can be an activist without debating people. It's quite possible to hold a conversation with a 16 year old without belittling them and "blasting" them.

He’s saying you look heartless if you debate by normal standards with a 16yr old. Anything else would just be condescending

Yeah but he brought up debating. She can be an activist without debating. She can spread awareness without debating. She can educate people without debating.

How can you be both well versed on a topic and unable to debate at the same time? I wouldn’t trust someone that couldn’t defend their position in a debate to “educate” me on a topic.

Your argument was not that she was unable to debate, but it would be heartless or condescending. The goal post just keeps moving.
