When you can kill a child through a door or wall in a school with a hammer, or wound ~1000 people at a concert with a hammer from an elevated hotel room, we can talk about hammer control.

First off, we shouldn’t be looking for hammer control at all lol. Secondly, school shootings are common due to mental instability in specific kids as well as a lack of security in schools (gun free zone). Lastly the Las Vegas shooting was a unique occurrence with no suspicion to

the guy other than the fact that he went back and forth from his home and the hotel for a week straight bringing in more suitcases. While hindsight is 20/20, there was no way to know that would happen.

You've just made the case for an assault rifle ban. You couldn't tell that guy was a lunatic. But he was. And he also had access to this weaponry. "Legal" gun owners are good guys with guns, until they're not. And there's little recourse to stop that not part from happening.

No actually I didn’t make that argument at all. In fact banning “assault rifles” or rifles that look modern would actually be a bad thing because rifles are a lot easier to shoot with than most handguns and shotguns so they’re better for weaker people like women or weak men lol
