I agree that the second amendment explicitly guarantees the right to own assault rifles. That being said: -the second amendment is a right that you have, not a law that you must follow -gun ownership being the second amendment does not make it the “second most important”

1) its not a right to own an assault rifle. Those are already banned. 2) that right was put in place to protect the first to defend against tyranny. Subjectively it may not be 2nd most important, but from an objective interpretation it is.
