It's the doing it for years part And trying to bring up past events that had nothing to do with the person in question And lying about their character to other people to make enemies in what is supposed to be a close group
Yeah, like I get that. But we're talking about women here. I'm not convinced that they themselves don't do it, therefore I'm not going to hold illogical standards regarding gossip to only 1 person. If that makes sense.

It makes sense, but the severity of it makes it a worse case Saying you/your friends are hiding a Zack/Ally type situation to save your/your regions reputation is a bit much IMO

I mean it's not as bad as ACTUALLY hiding those things comparatively. One is either an unproven truth, or an elaborate lie. It's fine to call her toxic over it, but this is ultimately gossip. That's just shit people do.
