I lost like 10 followers for being open about my politics but fuck it. My beliefs are the only reason I’m able to make a joke with confidence so I might as well say em with the same confidence. I can only stomach so much far left rhetoric before I throw up.

I know you know this but your follow count doesn't reflect your success. You have a ton of support from a lot of people even those that don't really follow you but generally agree with your positions. You're one of the few fighting the ACTUAL TRUE good fight and it's recognized.
Had some decent discussion as well so it wasn’t all bad. Learned some people are really ignorant on their own policies too like damn. I listen to politics everyday to stay in touch with American issues

IMO the problem is when politics meets popular culture. Breeds a lot of "normies" who stop at article headlines and suffer from confirmation bias. A lot of people that talk about politics and vote don't even actually look at the policies they're voting for/talking about.
