Hate Speech is subjective not objective. Which is the problem. While it criminalizes bigotry it also criminalizes comedy if so much as one person doesnt get the joke
Also allowing hateful people to speak their mind let’s you know who is the bad apples. If you scare them before they talk, you get no warning

If people want to spread their ideology they will try to be ""centrist"" (or at least right of centre) regardless since they can attract more of an audience and then slowly drip their far right bigoted ideas to a wider group of people.

Its not illegal to have stonetosses or prager u's around but they still often acted more ""centrist"" at their beginnings. (They even still put out centre-bait/apolitical bait often nowadays)
