Our freedom of speech is made so you don't outright spout hate on purpose towards a group or individual. We got many jokes that are morally not well received but those aren't punished or cancelled like they try to do in the US.
If you spout hate on an idividual is it punishable tho? Not like the jokes, I get that.

Honestly thats what the law describes but there's near 0 cases (TO MY KNOWLEDGE) where someone got punished for spouting hate on an individual. They do a lot of critiscizing so that's where our differences are. What may seem hate speech is critiscizing here.

A correction here. There was a very known rapper of algerian descent who called some random girls that gave him a lift "Kechs" (slang for whore) in which he had to publically apologize for cuz they boycotted his shows (this was morally incorrect)
