I think I get what he's saying, he just worded it in an odd way. Regardless of what Memoryman's belief is wasn't the problem, it was him vocalizing it. Him stating his beliefs changed is just the save face action, claims to believe something etc

Roughly, yes this was the case. It’s less of him vocally not being a trans ally and more of making fun of people for minding their own business, being themselves and hurting nobody. It would be fine if he gave any reason, but he’s just discriminating.
