Or we could have climate change and droughts and ideal fire conditions that take almost nothing to spark up and take off to start a giant wildfire. Those guys are out there working their asses off to save what they can and risking their lives.
-
FACT. For years now the environmental nutcases & stupid assed liberal politicos have kept the forestry mgmnt folks from clearing deadfall and dead undergrowth making it extremely easy for wildfires to spread unimpeded. All over the idiotic idea that "we have to let nature be
-
I know lots guys who are loggers both here and in OR and they complain all the time on the stupid Enviro policies that prohibit them from clearing the dead brush, logging in areas and allowing them to plant new trees from where they log in. Well now Malibu is evac'd & suffering

-
Stop with all the logic, you know darn well there were never fires there until the earth heated up .2 degrees and made hell here on earth.
-
ROFL...ROFLMAO! I've lived here my whole life and we've had droughts and Santa Ana winds etc....never have we had fire issues like we have now. Not until they stopped allowing loggers to clear the brush and all that stupid enviro stuff. No we had good management back then
-
But but... climate change...
-
LOL yeah... Pssst.....guess what? I'll tell you a secret....
Climate changes....all the time. It's called....weather

carr fire was started on carr road by a trailer. camp fire was started on camp road, the cause is yet to be determined. it’s confusing, but that’s not how it started. if you understood the location/demographics of paradise, you’d understand why these theories are so disrespectful
-
The news locally stated it was started by a camp fire. So explain what that means when you say on a camp road please. I know this area, I live in Shasta and visit all over.
-
there is a current fire happening in socal that was apparently started by a camp fire, and the fire here where i live in the chico area started on camp road, which is why they named it camp fire. that’s why it’s so confusing. sheriffs reported the cause has not been determined.
-
Ah ok.....so the dumbshit remark belongs to the idiot who started the one in SoCal...and we have yet to find out how the one up here started. Ok thank you. I thought it was odd, since I know all people up here know and respect the 'No Burn' policy and wouldnt have done a burn

-
yeah, especially in paradise. everyone has feared this for years as there is only one way out.. it’s looking like there could be potentially hundred that didn’t make it. it’s a nightmare. how’s the air in shasta?
-
Its ok up here now. It was really really bad for weeks with the Carr and others that merged. Heck I had one in my backyard about a week before that, literally IN my backyard, from the power pole....luckily I have water rights from the creek and a fire hose! Put it out ourselves

geez that’s wild, glad you made it through safe. we’ll be up in the Redding area for awhile today, i was hoping it would give us a break from all this smoke but it seems to be everywhere.
-
Oh you should be fine in Redding. It's completely clear up here, is a bit windy. But clear, brisk and beautiful! Have a safe trip!!
