Seriously though, what else IS there? I’m lucky enough to have a “spare” in a room that I hardly ever use it in, but so often when companies SAY they will support it down the road… they don’t.

Ugh. Is this another instance of a companies product being TOO popular? The biggest upkeep issue (and probably the real cause of the discontinuation) is the cloud service required to update/configure the things. Let me do it on my computer and let me maintain it!

Unfortunate news. There are many out there still, myself included, who don't rely purely on streaming services, but other solutions such as Plex and Kodi to maintain a HTPC database.
