Update: we’re not going to die on this hill. You were right – after (even further) review, your video & others are back up and these strikes have been removed. This was an over-enforcement of our policies, especially w/ the added context/commentary as you originally pointed out.

On Dec 13-14 you may see a noticeable decrease in your sub count as we remove spam subscriptions. If spam is removed, you'll see a YouTube Studio alert: goo.gl/qGDBvX

It’s normal for the view count to fluctuate. It can slow down or freeze as we check if they're real (from humans not computer programs).

If you’re seeing “No Subscribers” or “0 Subscribers” on a channel when you know that’s not the case, we’re experiencing an issue with the way sub counts are displayed – it’s happening inconsistently across a number of channels.

Currently, public sub counts are abbreviated in most but not all places across YouTube. In August, we’ll make this more consistent by always showing abbreviated sub counts publicly.

We are running a small experiment where 0.3% of viewers will see an auto-generated thumbnail, instead of your custom thumbnail. We are not removing the ability to create your custom thumbnail, but we hope to gain insights on auto-generated thumbnails for the future.
