I love YouTube and when the notification system was first introduced I was told it was a chance for subs to see "every video you upload" I supported or then. But why break this system too? Why let it be only a "if we think the video is good enough" system as well?

We don't want to know how this works. We want simple access to the creators we are subscribed to, not some complicated adventure book. It's not necessary.

I mean, you're part of Google and are late to adopt a material design interface. You complexity a simple notification system. Can we really trust your devs?

Instead of eliminating content from sub boxes, why the hell didn't you guys think of a "see less often" notification system? People get access to ALL the videos of people they wanna see right off the bat, and those who don't wanna see upload can pick and choose.

Surely it would be better if people had control over their notifications. Stopping them on the assumption that they'll unsub seems incorrect, and I'd have thought it would be more to do with the fact they don't want to see certain things anymore, and/or dislike current trends.

I've seen channels completely killed due to notifications not being sent, and they've created new channels which now have 1m+ subs. There seems to be a lot more going on than what's being said, but I'm by no means fully informed on what goes on in the background so who knows?!

I have the bell for half of the people I'm subscribed to, and yet no notifications. Like, ever. From any of the channels.

Did you turn off app notifications?

That it even needs a video explaining it means it's a broken system.
