This is so backwards @TeamYouTube @SusanWojcicki A user clicking the Subscribe button demonstrates their intent; They want to watch all of that creators content and be notified of it. Why should there be another layer with a bell you have to press? This is damaging small creatorshttps://twitter.com/Chaosxsilencer/status/977197830854062080 …

I feel like the bell should be opt out of notifications though, rather than opt in after they hit subscribe. Makes more sense that way in my opinion. Thanks for the reply.

Of course! We originally thought that made more sense too, but we learned (through long-term experiments) this leads to many people turning off notifications completely. Check out this video for more background info:https://goo.gl/KZ9tkw

Ah, so sorry! That response isn't exactly correct. If your notification settings are "occasional" then you get notified occasionally (based on affinity). If you choose "all" then you do get all notifications for every video upload of every subscription.

I still don't see all videos on the people I'm subbed to on mobile. Not even in the subscription feed. I'm usually missing 5-20 videos in it per day compared to my PC subscription feed.

You don’t want to spam them with videos of people they are subscribed to, so you will spam them with notifications of people they don’t watch like jake Paul or other trash?

I only see a small selection of the channels I'm subbed to in my sub feed. I agree with Jack on the bell being too much unless u want to receive notifications through the app for eg. I would spend far more time watching and not miss out if I could see all videos in my sub feed.

I'm not trying to be negitive but genuinely trying to make a point. I love youtube but feel the sub feed is more a narrowed down verson of the recommended.
