I've been waiting for @YouTube to review my channel for monetization for almost a month now. & fortunately I've passed the threshold so I'm slightly confused as to why it's taking this long. @YTCreators

It's really really annoying actually, I understand you may have thousands and thousands of these to go over but a month!? Have you considered upping your staff?

The new threshold also applies to channels that are currently awaiting review to be in the YPP. So, applications are taking longer than normal to process. As your channel meets the new criteria, it'll be reviewed in the next few weeks.
