Why? I think you guys have the right intentions, but this update does not help people who are just getting started, or small channels like mine! I know YouTube is more than money, but everyone deserves a chance to make some!
Smaller channels can still grow–monetization doesn't impact how videos appear in search or how they're promoted/recommended across YouTube. Also creator features and tools like custom thumbnails, live streaming, etc are still available.
