Sorry for my language, but most people don't fucking click on videos without custom thumbnails. How am I supposed to gain any momentum if my videos aren't attention grabbing?
Jumping in to clarify that this update has no impact on custom thumbnails. Channels don't need to be part of YPP to use that feature, they just need to have a verified YouTube account, which can be done at http://youtube.com/verify .

What exactly brought on this change? I think it's unfair to us smaller channels to remove our monetization completely & you already cut it down. I can't even request a review if I'm told my video didn't qualify or was flagged at this point.

The only reason people really care about youtube at this point is because of its creators, yet you guys keep screwing them over. At this point I won’t be surprised if another company try’s to take over with how you guys are going about things
