@TeamYouTube Here’s a very important question that needs clarification: If a channel reaches the threshold and is then “in” the partner program, will they lose their status if the channel ever goes under the threshold?

I’m wondering more so about watchtime. Because if your channel is unmonetized every time you go below the threshold, you have this looming cloud of tension at all times, and it prioritizes quantity over quality.
If your channel watch time drops below the threshold for just one day (as an example) we won't remove you from YPP. We're still finalizing these details and will share another update before Feb 20th.

Just to clarify, do you need both 4,000 hours of watchtime AND 1,000 subscribers? Or just one of the two?

Yes, the requirement is both 4000 watch time hours in past 12 months and 1000 lifetime subs. Hope this helps clarify!
