We won't remove access to end cards/screens as part of this new threshold. We're working on building out separate/new criteria for this feature and will send another update once it's finalized!

Criteria is needed for this specific feature to curb abuse on the platform (since this feature enables linking to external websites). We want to make sure those who use the feature are following community guidelines.

That feature is not a part of YPP and is not going away. You can still live stream, schedule uploads and upload custom thumbnails as long as your account is verified (http://youtube.com/verify ).

So it’s just external links like to merch stores and such, yes? Normal end card annotations to you own videos are still a feature for everyone?

Why can't this feature just be available for every creator no matter how many subs they have?!

Just to clarify, end screens/cards is available to all creators. It's only the "linking to external websites" from end screens/cards that today, is only available to those in YPP but again, we're working to build out separate requirements for this feature.
