It will hurt only new and small channels and boost for older channels as so many new will leave the plateform. Even it will crush new & talented people.

Well then YT, why don't you, y'know, just delete those bad actors' and impersonators' channels instead of screwing those who worked years to get the small amount of subscribers they have? Or is that too much work for you to do?

@TeamYouTube Did I already reply to you with "BULLSHIT!"? Being a small yt'er does NOT autmatically constitute in being a spammer, impersonator or bad actor harming others. I'm not a spammer or impersonator and I don't really act and the odd check I get from adds is an incentive to keep doing videos in my spare time. And I don't have 1000 subs or 4000hrs of watch time so this sucks.

If it deters those just hoping to earn a fast buck from crappy content then I'm ok with this, I'm well over the 4K watch time but only 194 subs so that's going to be grind, does this mean I can turn ads off until I get 1000 subscribers?

Sounds of it yes. No reason you stop making content. Just you can not make money off them till you hit whatever. All a huge joke that will only shoot them self in the foot Dx

Way to sign YouTube's death warrant by discouraging small channels with a higher bar. If they can't get noticed here, they'll go somewhere else. It's understandable to want fake creators to not be cycling around, but if it hurts real creators, then the solution is the problem.
