We've made updates to the YouTube Partner Program to strengthen our community & prevent impersonators + spammers from harming our platform. We understand this affects many channels, but believe it's necessary to protect our creators. For the full updatehttps://goo.gl/T1pvG3

You say it is to "protect our community" can you elaborate on what you are protecting us from? It is the big YouTubers causing the problems here
-
there are hundreds of channels that reupload content and steal videos from other youtubers and they can easily get their 4000 watchtime in 12 months and get paid for someone elses work

What are you protecting us from? It's hard enough to work and be seen as a small YouTuber your algorithms don't work for us and the little reward we had and built up is being stripped away. Allow our videos to be seen give us a platform to grown on then your changes make sense

It's because we don't really matter. They're doing this out of pressure from advertisers who are paying them top dollar for ads. They don't want their ads being associated with negative or sloppy content so this is

You're not protecting the users, you're making things cushy for sponsors. Shame there isn't a viable replacement for youtube yet, I'd like to drop your service like a gallstone.

It’s not nesscary. You’re punishing small channels but allowing people Like Logan Paul to continue to thrive.

@TeamYouTube Can you explain how this protects the community? Because the only advantage I can see is YouTube finding any excuse to not pay channels. Bet you'll still run ads on the videos too..Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Bullcrap - anytime there has been the slightest drama over a creator, it's public in no time. If you were concerned about protecting the community, you would act on these events, rather than punish all small channels.
