Yes, the requirement is both 4000 watch time hours in past 12 months and 1000 lifetime subs. Hope this helps clarify!

We’re not confused. We GET IT. You are pushing away creators who have been with you for a very long time, even before YouTube even RAN ads (like myself) and you’re casting us away like we’re nothing. That isn’t cool. It’s rude. Incredibly rude.

Not to mention the new metrics, while discouraging clickbait, a definate problem, also discourage STEM channels like my own, which by their very nature, will always have less viewership. But memes and trashtalk will prevail.

Yep this makes it clear that you have ZERO interest in helping small channels grow. Without the content large AND small creators upload you would all be out of a job... maybe not such a bad thing now that I think about it. Sorry but this is upsetting to say the least.
