@TeamYouTube my resolution in the app is capped at 720p. Is there a reason why. In chrome I can watch at 1080p.

Video quality may adjust to help improve viewing conditions – for example when there’s a slower internet condition. You still have the option to change the setting following the steps outlined here: https://yt.be/help/JXPZ Hope this helps clarify!

Two days ago I could watch videos in 1080p and higher in the YouTube app. Now it won't raise higher than 720p. The link is useless to me as I've been watching in hd using chrome. Is there a fix for the app.

Appreciate the info – if you haven't done so yet, make sure that the app is updated. It can also help if you uninstall & reinstall the app. More troubleshooting steps here: https://yt.be/help/vspw Hope this helps!

I tried that too. Twice I uninstalled and reinstalled and I can't watch in 1080p at all.
