It started happening after the update to iOS 13 and has persisted with 13.1. YouTube reports it’s version as 14.40.2, and has no updates available in the App Store. It has all the permissions necessary. I think this is a regression in

This is a problem with iOS 13, and not isolated to YouTube. *any* media app playing in the background will be aggressively killed when you pause — even for a second. YouTube then restarts and forgets what it was playing, forcing me to hunt in history, maybe you can fix that part?
