I think channels who have been around for 10+ years, have consistently posted videos and link all their socials to their YouTube already proved themselves. They shouldn’t have to again because you guys are to lazy to do your own research.

ALL channels should be allowed this protection! Now it'll be easier to scam and slander channels in comments. Smaller channels will be impersonated. You only made this easier for celebrities to be protected, not smaller content creators!

You keep repeating that and you keep declining people who have a mill+ subs. Like for real? Do you need an actual documented case of identity theft to motivate a check mark now? Big channel = big chance of it happening, thus needs a checkmark. It’s not fucking hard?
