It should be easy to know when you’ve found the official YouTube channel of a creator, artist, brand, or public figure. So in late October, we’re updating what it means for channels to be “Verified” w/ new eligibility criteria & a new look. Details → https://yt.be/help/3QfB pic.twitter.com/JXOvMbkbns

So basically “screw anyone who isn’t big enough?” Seems about right by YT standards

So I'm not getting any verification when I hit 100k? Makes absolutely no sense
-
Reaching that milestone is AWESOME, but the badge itself wasn’t meant to verify sub count, just to help viewers find official channels. You may still get a badge at 100k subs, so long as you meet the other eligibility criteria.

You're just taking that verification away from tons of creators and giving it to only the companies and the super-famous ones.

It doesn't make it more helpful to unverify a bunch of people. I'd like to state that Klautos is my official channel. But I'm not very important so people can impersonate me all they want, is that it? This decision makes zero sense to your core creators who GREW YouTube for you

Its not about the creators man. It makes sense from a corporate greed standpoint though.

So then may ask what is the specific, numerical criteria for being verified besides the suscription given of a need@to have a large following both on and off YouTube? Thanks

This problem doesn't exist and people don't have trouble looking for an official channel/creator. Give the smaller channels their verification back, they earned them fair and square.
