New today
A policy preventing Copyright owners from making $ on manual claims for:
Short song clips (ex: 5 sec of a song)
Unintentional audio (ex:
from passing cars)
Claimants can still block monetization or the video itself, but timestamps help you edit out the claim.

This usually means your channel is being held for additional reviews – bc your content is close to not meeting policies. We’ll put more effort into the final decision, thanks for your continued patience: https://yt.be/help/YPP-review

Please add a way to edit & delete comments for users ! Most importantly for notifications to take you directly to your comments liked or disliked not just to the video your commemt was made on ! Its like trying to find air in space as it stands .pic.twitter.com/vItl8SqOdy

How about having a human being review the claim BEFORE the creator gets hit?

But the review goes to the claimant, who might have had dubious and malicious reasons to begin with. They aren't going to suddenly be nice about it. Only way to counter this is to have YouTube be middle men. This will never happen as long as Safe Harbor is in effect.

This statement is as false as it gets. The system works in favor of the claimant. Dozens of >1m YouTubers are bullied by bigger content creators and other troll farms on a daily basis, and when they ask for a review it just goes back the person who made the claim. SAD!

This is an important step (with more to come!) towards a better Copyright system for creators & music partners long term.
