A policy preventing Copyright owners from making $ on manual claims for:
Short song clips (ex: 5 sec of a song)
Unintentional audio (ex:
from passing cars)
Claimants can still block monetization or the video itself, but timestamps help you edit out the claim.

What if the option to remove the song is not there?
-
Hmm this may happen for really old claims – even if you can't use "remove song", you should still be able to trim out the content or use "replace song" and then dispute the claim to resolve it. Let us know!

What are you going to do about people claiming copyright on public domain songs (eg, Stars and Stripes Forever, recorded by the Marine Corps Band )

Most companies do not accidentally strike videos and will say that it is copyright infringement anyways. The monetization is the reward, but there is still no negative for the companies that primarily strike content, like WMG and Sony. 2-2
