So when I upload to @YTCreators now it has a survey/form I have to tick to confirm certain topics aren't in my content + supposedly it will mean better ad rates etc.
Is my video monetized right away or does that not happen until the manual confirmation?

To clarify, the automated scan looks at the title, description, thumbnail & tags before the video is live/published. You can upload as unlisted/private & appeal the video if it's marked as 'Not suitable for all advertisers'. You can publish once you receive an email confirmation.

No I don't think you understand what I'm saying. This doesn't appear to be my videos getting flagged and then me appealing them. It's some kind of new initiative on your part to lessen the bots responsibility I have this at the top of my upload pagepic.twitter.com/JxluTugh27

But my question still stands, is the video monetised from the get go or not until it's reviewed after I've already filled in the survey? My content is VERY time sensitive so I can't sit around and wait for a manual review on every single one from now on. I hope that makes sense

The video will be reviewed by the automated system to verify if it meets our ad-friendly guidelines. However, the ratings you provide through the survey would help us in classifying your content and make appropriate decisions. Hope this helps clarify.

It doesn't help clarify. When I upload, I fill in the form to say "yup all clear", if it goes live 20 minutes later will the video have ads running on it already if no automated flags are raised or will ads not appear until the manual review is done?

Once the system scans the video, you'll see ads running if it's marked as suitable for advertisers. If otherwise, you can appeal the video and you'll receive an update after the manual review is done.
