@TeamYouTube what's the simplest filetype to upload closed captions to a YouTube video? I've tried uploading my script as rtf, srt, and txt, but all of them end up being completely garbled after I upload (just loads of formatting stuff rather than words)

Is there a filetype I can use which doesn't have any timing info at all? I know there used to be a way to do this but I can't figure out how to do it now

Under the "Upload a file" section of this article: https://yt.be/help/V3X2 you'll find how to upload captions w/o timing info. Also, if the video is in one of the supported languages, you can use the auto-sync service, which has no time code info. Hope this helps.
